Balochistan cabinet on Tuesday approved the reconstitution of threat assessment committees on the divisional level in the province. Chief Minister Mir Quddus Bizenjo chaired the meeting of the provincial cabinet, which made a number of decisions. The main reason behind the reconstitution of threat assessment committees is to improve the law and order situation in Balochistan.
Additional Chief Secretary Home, Muhammad Hashim Ghilzai, Inspector General of Police, and other high-ups briefed the cabinet about the law and order situation in the province. The cabinet decided to reconstitute the threat assessment committees across Balochistan.

CM directs law enforcement agencies to improve coordination
Addressing the meeting, Mr. Bizenjo directed all law enforcement agencies to improve mutual coordination to maintain the law and order situation in the province. The cabinet meeting also expressed serious concern over delays in the payment of federal levies personnel by the federal government. The cabinet demanded of the federal government to make sure timely payment to the levies personnel.

“We will take up this issue with the federal government”, Mr. Bizenjo stated. He said that the provincial government would not make any compromise over the rights of the people of Balochistan.
The Cabinet approved the adoption of the Transfer of Property Act 1882 in the light of the decision made by Pakistan in the Human Rights case. It also approved the non-scheduled rates for the wastewater treatment plant in Quetta.
Government to provide 2000 free engines to fishermen in Gwadar

Regarding the provision of 2000 free engines to fishermen, the cabinet approved the method and mechanism regarding the distribution of engines among the fishermen in the coastal belt. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in his recent visit had announced the provision of 2000 free engines to the fishermen. The government has decided to provide 2000 free engines to fishermen within the next three months.
