​QUETTA — Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Sunday co-chaired a high-level security meeting following a tragic explosion near the Quetta-Chaman Phaatak (railway crossing).

​During the briefing, the Inspector General (IG) of Balochistan Police presented an initial investigation report on the blast to the leadership.
​The forum strongly condemned the cowardly attack on innocent citizens, expressing deep condolences and heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved families of the martyrs.

​Speaking at the meeting, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi assured the provincial leadership of Islamabad’s unyielding support.
​”The federal government stands firmly with the government and people of Balochistan in this hour of grief,” Naqvi said. “The beasts behind this attack have shown the worst form of brutality by targeting innocent civilians. The supreme sacrifices of our martyrs will never be forgotten.”

​Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti thanked the Interior Minister for his immediate presence and solidarity, noting that Naqvi has consistently stood by the province during testing times.
​”We are forever indebted to the blood of our martyrs, and we will not leave their families to stand alone,” Chief Minister Bugti vowed. He directly pointed blame at regional hostile actors, adding, “We will hunt down the terrorists of Fitna-al-Hindustan and bring them to their logical end.”
​The Chief Minister further stated that he is personally monitoring the medical care being provided to those injured in the blast to ensure they receive the best possible treatment.
​The high-profile meeting concluded with strategic directives issued to the IG Balochistan and top officials from law enforcement agencies, who were also in attendance.
