Saad murder: Maid remand extended for another 4 days

QUETTA: The remand of the Maid arrested in connection with the murder of a four-year-old child extended for another four days. Police produced the Maid before the judicial magistrate in Quetta to seek extension in the remand. Judicial Magistrate, Ihtiram ul Haq extended the remand of the Maid for another four days.

The dead body of Saad Shah,  a resident of Quetta Samungli road Lehri gate found inside his house on September 12. Parents of the murdered child nominated the Maid of the house in the murder of their son. The Maid surrendered before the police after her nomination in the murder of Saad Shah.

The Maid is yet to confess her involvement in the murder of a minor child. However, Chaudhary Asghar Mehmood, the Station House Officer (SHO) Jinnah Town says, “she seems to be guilty”.

“Violence against children increased in Balochistan”, Wadood Tareen, a child rights activist told the daily Quetta Voice. However, Mr. Tareen had no exact data of violence against children in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan. Despite repeated attempts, no non-government organizations or officials provided the exact number of acts of violence against children in Balochistan. 

This is for the second time that the remand of the Maid extended in the murder of a minor child brutally murdered inside his house. “The culprits had drowned child in the washing machine”, Chaudhary Asghar Mehmood stated.

“We have formed a committee to probe into the cold-blooded murder”, Chaudhary Asghar informed. He said the investigation team has collected all evidence and interrogating the arrested maid in connection with the murder of a minor child.

The parents of the kid belong to Osta Muhammad area of Balochistan, whereas, the maid belongs to Lehri area of the province.
