Kalat 8-year old boy raped, murdered

Unknown accused raped and murdered an 8-year old minor boy in Balochistan’s Kalat district. Relatives spotted the dead body of the minor boy in a mountainous area of Kalat on Tuesday.

The medical report proves the boy subjected to sexual abuse by more than one accused, Dr. Ayesha, the police surgeon in Quetta civil hospital said. She said the accused brutally murdered the minor boy after rape. “They had used blunt weapons including stones to kill the minor”, she said.

Police reached the spot and shifted the dead body of the minor boy to the hospital, Habib Nichari, a police officer said. The minor boy was studying in a Madressah (religious seminary) in Kalat, relatives said. The boy went missing the other day and did not return to his home, Ghulam Muhammad, the grief-stricken father told Quetta Voice via telephone. “I want justice”, the broken father demanded with a burst of tears.

This incident has come almost three weeks after an eight-year-old boy was brutally murdered after rape in Balochistan’s Killa Abdullah district. Chief Justice Balochistan High Court (BHC) had taken notice of the tragic incident and directed all commissioners to submit reports.

Shutter down strike 

Central leader of the Balochistan National Party (Mengal), Prince Musa Jan strongly condemned the tragic incident. He demanded of the police to arrest the culprits behind the tragic incident. Prince Musa Jan announced that the people of Kalat would observe a shutter down strike against the tragic incident.

Zainat Shahwani, another female legislator from BNP Mengal strongly condemned the incident. “This is the third incident during the last few days in Kalat”, she mentioned.

In Balochistan, acts of violence and sexual abuse against women and children have increased during the current year 2020.
