3 Women murdered in Naseerabad Balochistan

Three women murdered in a firing incident in Balochistan’s Naseerabad district in the wee hours of Thursday. An accused identified as Karim killed his wife, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law in Dera Murad Jamali Domki Mohalla, Abdul Hayee Baloch, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Naseerabad told Quetta Voice via telephone.

The wife of Karim Bakhsh had filed a divorce case against her husband, Mr. Baloch said. “She was living with her parents for last 20 days”, he informed. The accused opened fire and killed all three women. All the victims breathed their last on the spot, police said. The dead bodies shifted to district headquarters hospital Naseerabad for postmortem.

“We have conducted raids at the residence of the accused”, Abdul Hayee Baloch informed. He said the accused and his facilitators would be brought to justice soon.

FIR registered against the accused involved in the cold-blooded murder of women 

Police also lodged an FIR against the accused and started an investigation into the incident. Sikandar Umrani, the Station House Officer (SHO) Naseerabad along with a police party reached the spot and collected evidence from the spot.

In Naseerabad and Jaffarabad districts of Balochistan, killings of women in the name of ‘honor’ during the last three decades. Civil society and human rights groups have expressed a concerned voice over such incidents. This year, incidents of domestic violence and honor killings have increased in Balochistan as compared to the past. Women and human rights activists have demanded of the government to bring an end to impunity in such cases and bring the perpetrators to book.
