Local government portfolio withdrawn from Sardar Saleh Bhootani

The Local government portfolio has been withdrawn from the Balochistan minister, Sardar Saleh Bhootani late Saturday night. Sardar Bhootani is a former chief minister and belongs to the ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP).
The notification issued by the Chief Secretary’s office said, “the Chief Minister is pleased to withdraw the portfolio/department of LG and Rural Development from Sardar Saleh Bhootani, the provincial minister with immediate effect”. “I have not been taken into confidence regarding withdrawing portfolio”, Sardar Bhootani said. “I am in contact with senior colleagues and will announce future strategy after consultation”, he mentioned.
Portfolio to remain with CM Balochistan
“The portfolio withdrawn from the above named provincial minister shall rest with the Chief Minister Balochistan”, the notification concluded.
This development has come after a war of words between the ruling coalition partners the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and PTI.
War of words between BAP and PTI intensifies
A fresh war of words between the main coalition partners in Balochistan dominated the political scene of the province on Saturday. War of words intensified between the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI). The two main coalition partners issued statements complaining against each other.
BAP lawmakers lodge complaints against Sardar Rind
“Ministers, advisers, and parliamentary secretaries called on CM Balochistan and lodged complaints against Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind”, a statement issued by the CM secretariat said. The lawmakers expressed resentment over the appointments of lower cadre officers in their constituencies in the education department, the statement said.
BAP has 24 lawmakers
The ruling BAP has 24 lawmakers in the house of 65 in the Balochistan Assembly. However, the PTI has 7 legislators in the provincial assembly. The two parties have a political alliance in the province and the federal government in Islamabad.
