Quetta: 3 children brutally murdered in Sariab

Police found the dead bodies of 3 children brutally murdered in the Sariab area of Quetta on Monday. Abdul Hayee Girani, the Station House Officer (SHO) new Sariab said the dead bodies found in a house located in a marginalized neighborhood of the area.

He however informed that two suspects arrested in connection with the brutal murder of children. The ages of children are from five to ten years.

The dead bodies shifted to civil hospital. “So far, no identification of victims”, Mr. Girani said. One child shifted to the hospital in a serious condition. The child is in critical condition, doctors said.

Panic prevailed in the area

Panic prevailed in the area after the recovery of brutally murdered children. Police officials reached the spot of the incident as an investigation into the incident went underway. “We are investigating into the incident”, the SHO informed. Motives behind the brutal murder of children could not be ascertained, police said. However, Azhar Akram, the Deputy Inspector General of Police Quetta said, “this seems to be a domestic issue”. “We are investigating the incident”, he said.

Violence and incidents of sexual abuse against children increased 

Incidents of violence and sexual abuse against children have increased in Balochistan currently. Chief Justice Balochistan High Court (BHC), Mr. Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail ordered the subordinate courts to expedite cases of child abuse. The top judge of the province had also directed the concerned divisional commissioners to submit a comprehensive report with regard to child abuse in their divisions. The CJ BHC had taken notice of the rape and murder of a minor boy in Maizai Addah area of Killa Abdullah district.
