Director-General Health Balochistan, Dr. Saleem Abro has warned of a sharp rise in the number of coronavirus cases in the province after what he calls people violated social-distancing during the recent Eid ul Fitar.

“People violated social-distancing, results to come within the next two to three days”, the DG health Balochistan warned. Currently, the spread ratio of coronavirus cases is 34 percent and it would rise to 79 by November this year, if people kept violating social-distancing and staying at home, Dr. Abro mentioned.

He lamented that people continue to violate the instructions of the government when it comes to adopting social-distancing and taking precautionary measures. Dr. Abro, however, urged upon the masses to adopt social-distancing and take all precautionary measures to battle the deadly virus in the province.

In Balochistan, the number of COVID19 cases continues to increase fast. Currently, 24 districts of the province have been affected by the deadly virus. However, Quetta, Pishin, Killa Abdullah, Killa Saifullah, Lasbella, Jaffarabad, and Mastung have been hit hard by the deadly virus. The virus has caused 41 deaths so far in the province since the outbreak of the pandemic.

“People must adhere to the instructions of the government”, Dr. Abro concluded.
